Yes. Both the SF220 and SF500 are suitable for well water. Well water often doesn't contain chlorine, but the filters still reduce sediment, organic impurities, and odors. If your well water carries a lot of sediment, the SF500 is the better fit, because its sediment guards trap particles before they reach the cartridge.

They don't reduce dissolved iron. The SF500's sediment guards do trap rust and iron particles before they reach the cartridge. In high-iron areas, expect to rinse or replace the guards more often.
