Good water filtration system

Have been using this for a couple of years now. Works well and glad I am not using disposable water bottles. However, it seems the process you have to go through to break in a new filter by filling and discarding pitchers of water seems a waste. Why can’t the filter just be soaked in a bowl or something then rinsed rather than have to refill the entire pitcher? Other than that, it’s fine.

Work Fine & Needed if You Want to Filter Water in Their Water Pitchers

I've been using these filters since I purchased 2 of their water pitchers over a couple years ago, which came with initial filters. The replacement filters require a bit of prep before finally being able to use the filtered water. However, they do last a long time, the water does filter through more quickly than other filter pitchers, and definitely make our awful, city water much, much better quality. While we drink bottled water, we use the filtered water for our coffee maker, for consuming any water that won't be heated in cooking, and to fill our cat water fountain - as the bottled water has too many minerals, and the filtered water does not. The filters for their pitchers do a great job removing not only the extraneous minerals, but also the heavy chemical/bleach smell from our tap water.

I've had this pitcher for over 2 years. I have no complaints at all.
The pitcher looks like new and works as such. The rubber on the bottom came off but I'm not concerned about that.
The filters hold up very well, as advertised.
It is very easy to take apart to clean and filters are easy to install.
I'm a convert from Pur plus. I recommend this product. 👍

I was formerly using Brita filters until I had a glass of water on the counter and took a sip and it still tasted of chlorine and I realized they were not doing the job. Ran the same test not long ago with the AquaBliss filters and no trace of the chlorine so highly recommend them. Nothing but good water from now on.

We recommend replacing the cartridge every 4 months for optimum performance, though how much water you filter day to day can affect that, a larger household filtering more water daily may reach the end of the cartridge's capacity sooner. Watch for a change in taste or odor, or water flowing through more slowly than usual, both are signs the filtration media is reaching the end of its effective life, replace it at that point even if you're still inside the 4-month window.

 

The FWPC cartridge is designed specifically for the Aquabliss FWP1 Filtered Water Pitcher, it's a made-to-fit design, not a universal cartridge for other pitcher brands. If you're not sure which pitcher you have, check the model number printed on the base.

Yes. All Aquabliss water pitcher cartridges are made without BPA, so there's nothing from the cartridge material itself to worry about leaching into your filtered water.

TDS meters measure the total dissolved solids in water, including many beneficial minerals you wouldn't want removed, but they don't measure chlorine, heavy metals or disinfection byproducts, which is what the FWPC is actually designed to reduce. Because mineral content doesn't move much either way, a TDS reading can stay flat even while your cartridge is working exactly as it should. For a more accurate picture, we recommend a chlorine colorimeter test or chlorine test strips instead.
