The first line of defense in multi-stage filtration

Sediment is one of the most common causes of reduced filter performance and low water pressure. These guards sit at both ends of your filter cartridge, capturing large suspended particles before they can clog the filtration media inside. Without them, debris can compromise the rest of the filtration process, so keeping them clean is one of the best things you can do for your water.

Reusable, rinse-clean and ready when you need them

Unlike single-use alternatives, Aquabliss sediment guards are designed to be rinsed and reused multiple times before replacing. Simply remove, rinse thoroughly with water, and they're ready to go again. When they've reached the end of their life, you have 30 replacements ready.

Signs it's time to clean or replace your guards

If you notice a drop in water pressure, that's your signal. Reduced flow usually means your sediment guards have done their job and need a rinse or a swap. With 30 guards in the pack, you're covered for well over a year. The easy upgrade your routine needs.

Fits in minutes. No tools needed

Open the filter housing, remove the cartridge, twist off the end caps, swap the guards at each end, reassemble, and you're done. Our products are made to fit into your life, with straightforward design that makes for accessible installation to all.

How to replace your sediment guards

  1. Open the shower filter housing and remove the cartridge

  2. Twist the end caps on each end of the cartridge counterclockwise

  3. Replace the sediment guard at each end of the cartridge

  4. Reassemble the cartridge and place it back inside the filter housing

  5. Screw the filter back onto your showerhead, and you're done

SFPADS Reusable Sediment Guards 30-Pack FAQs

It depends on your water quality, there's no fixed replacement schedule the way there is for a filter cartridge. If you notice a drop in water pressure, that's usually sediment building up in the guards, and rinsing them under high-pressure water while rubbing them together to release trapped particles will usually restore flow. In areas with higher sediment levels, or on well water, you may need to rinse them more often. Because they're designed to be reused several times before replacing, most households only need to swap in a new guard occasionally, some staining may remain on the guards even after cleaning, that's normal and doesn't affect how well they work.

These sediment guards are compatible with the Daily Revitalize+ (SF400) and Daily Essential+ (SF500) shower filters, and their Daily Revitalize+ (SFC400) and Daily Essential+ (SFC500) replacement cartridges, the only two models in the Aquabliss range built with removable sediment guards. They aren't compatible with the Daily Revitalize (SF100) or Daily Essential (SF220), or their SFC100/SFC220 cartridges, which use fine stainless steel mesh and PP cotton to capture sediment instead, without a separate guard component.

Yes. To clean them, unscrew the end caps on your cartridge counterclockwise, remove the guards, and rinse under high-pressure water while rubbing them together to release trapped sediment. They can be reused several times this way, replace them once rinsing no longer restores your water pressure or flow, rather than on a fixed schedule. With 30 guards in the pack, most households have enough on hand to cover a long stretch of replacements without reordering.

No tools required. Unscrew the end caps on your cartridge by hand, swap in the fresh guard, and screw the end cap back on, the same process you'd use to rinse and reinstall an existing guard. The whole process takes around two minutes.
