Honest Review IMHO: Key difference between the two is chlorine/chloramine filtration and the 500 is better specifically for “chloramine” (chlorine + ammonia). But the 400 has the extra Vit C and Minerals, Zeolite and Tourmaline to help truly polish the water. Did you know that Vit C (Sodium Ascorbate) actually neutralizes chlorine?! For best chloramine (10 x stronger chlorine bonding) filtering, I personally have my water go through a premium solely-focused chloramine filter (filters chlorine too) first, then it goes thru the SFC400 to polish everything up with the Vit C, minerals, zeolite and tourmaline that truly took away my dry, itchy skin after the first shower!! As the second filter, it should sweep up any crumbs left over from the first filter and focus on infusing the additional minerals. BUT.., if your primary battle is specifically “chloramine”, you’ll want to probably get the SFC500. For a truly more overall great feel and protection of skin and if your water supply is primarily chlorine, then the SFC400 is the way to go with all its extra revitalizing layers! I love my SFC400!! And you might want to look into their replacement cartridge subscription plan like I did to get 10% off and not worry about “when” to replace it—when the new one arrives, just replace it. Easy peezy! ;)

We had terribly strong sulfer odor at our farm house. This house is only visited a few times a year and I think the water sitting in the hot water heater gets especially strong in sulfer odor. We put the filter on with the new sprayer head and there was ZERO sulfer odor! A pleasant shower was had by each visitor!

I'm still figuring out if the AquaBliss (SF400) that was recommended for my city is going to work for me or not. I followed the installation directions, and my eyes burned for the first and second showers. This is normal when my filter needs replacing. I am not sure if it just takes time to work well. My hair seems a bit softer.

Even with a uv filtration system my hair was still falling out for harsh water.

The shower filter makes a big difference in the shower water on skin and hair. My only complaint is that I am unable to open the canister to replace the filter. So, does this mean I have to buy a new shower filter every six months when the filter needs to be changed? If this is the case, then the product is not worth buying.

I love everything about it. 1 use made a huge difference in my hair! My tub discolors from 1 shower or bath so I can only imagine what it does to my hair. I used it once and my hair had volume and looked so much healthier. My skin looked brighter after my shower. I have nothing negative to say about this product. The price is even amazing!! I had my new water filter installed on March 3rd. I gave myself two weeks to be able to make a decision as to whether or not my skin felt better. I can honestly say that my skin and my hair are so much softer. I can't imagine the amount of chlorine and other nasty things that are in my local water system. I've been living in this apartment for 5 years and within those five years I've seen the damage not only in my skin not being supple but my hair was so dry. I also had quite a bit of hair fall out. Now I'm 66 years old so I naturally have thinning hair but the amount that was in the drain after my shower was really starting to concern me. First I started with thinking it was my shampoo. I changed to a product that has no sulfates which made a little bit of a difference but not that much. So I started doing some research and discovered that I probably have hard water. Through research and comparisons I decided to purchase an Aquabliss. It couldn't have been easier to install I really could have done it myself. But I don't have that much upper body strength to loosen the attachments that have been in this bathroom for 25 years. I called my friend who came over and in 15 minutes he had the entire thing hooked up and ready to go. I not only bought a water filter but I also bought a new handheld shower head which I love also. It has a couple different sprays that I like. With all that being said, I give this product five stars because within a short two weeks I have noticed a significant difference.

Hard to believe that something so inexpensive and easy to install can make such a huge difference! My hair is smooth and silky again after just one wash and my skin is thanking me as it is retaining moisture. It was surprisingly easy to install thankfully. I’m impressed that the gently priced refills are needed only twice each year. In sum - I recommend that you don’t wait another minute to try out an AquaBliss shower filter. I am a long term customer of Aquabliss and I am sharing my wonderful experience with the most recent shower filter I have used ..(HD SF400)l. I have sensitive skin and require a shower filter for the very irritating municipal water wherever I have lived for the past 25 years. For the past perhaps 10 years I have used Aquabliss shower filters successfully with no reason to look elsewhere for several reasons.
First of all I was so impressed with the most recent filter because my skin and hair felt so silky (more than usual after other versions I think) and this is all without the hassle of dealing with complicated plumbing intervention which I do not have a desire to learn or pay someone for. Additionally if I have any request for practical information I have always received a detailed email reply to all my concerns. Overall very good customer service! (That doesn't always happen from online companies these days).
So if you want safer and healthier water for showering to aid in dermatological problems like eczema. I highly recommend this product and company.

My filter was delivered in two days even though it said three. I have recommended this filter to a bunch of friends. Also I recommend buying it through the website and not through a platform like Amazon. I did and arguably got better service (plus let’s BDS Amazon).

I wanted to wait 30 days before leaving a review but I feel compelled to do it now. I just used it for the first time. I noticed right away after drying off my skin is silky. I actually haven't had to use body lotion yet. Just my facial moisture. Very excited to see how the next month goes.

I did plenty of research and decided to buy the AquaBliss SF400. It's been almost a month. My wife and I love it. I heeded the warnings about not overtightening it and so far so good. We both firmly believe our hair and skin feel better. I wish it came in other finishes than chrome - oh well. Several reviews said they could not unscrew the filter. I could not unscrew it with my bare hands but two of my kitchen rubber grips did not job easily. Water flow was a bit restricted but per the directions, I removed the sand filter (white plastic cone) from inside my shower head and that helped. For testing purposes, I also removed the flow restricting O-ring in the shower head. That also helped but not as much as I thought it would so I put the O-ring back in. Now we wait and see how long it lasts until filter needs replacing and the pads need cleaning or replacing. We are very pleased with this product.

I moved from the West Coast to the Midwest last year, wasn’t at all prepared for the hard water here. My skin and hair has been super try, for some reason shower filter wasn’t a thought until recently. This brand was recommended, it was easy to install and I’ve already noticed my skin is less dry. I love it so much that I’m getting another one for the other shower in my home.
