How is the Daily Essential+ Shower Filter (SF500) different from the Daily Essential (SF220)?

The SF500 contains 44% more filtration media than the SF220, along with removable sediment guards, a universal adapter and upgraded no-leak seals – making it the better choice for heavier-duty performance or more demanding water conditions.

Will it reduce my water pressure?

No. The Daily Essential+ is designed to maintain full water flow throughout its filtration stages.

How often should I replace the filter cartridge?

We recommend replacing the cartridge every 3–6 months. Chlorine levels in your area can affect how quickly the cartridge reaches the end of its lifespan. 

Can it reduce chloramine?

The Daily Essential+ can reduce chloramine. If you know your supply uses chloramine rather than chlorine, this is our recommended filter. For consistently high chloramine levels, a whole-house filter may offer more complete coverage.

Will it fit my shower head?

The Daily Essential+ uses a standard ½" connection and includes a universal adapter, making it compatible with all standard fixed, rain, handheld and combo shower heads.

Can I test water quality with a TDS meter?

TDS meters are not the most effective way to measure chlorine or THM reduction. For accurate results, we recommend using a specialized chlorine colorimeter test.
