AquaBliss Shower Filters

SF100 Shower Filter

What's the difference between the SF100 and SF220?

The SF220 is a heavy-duty filter designed to remove chlorine and harmful contaminants. The SF100 does that too, but also adds beneficial minerals and vitamins to help improve skin, hair, and nail health. We suggest using the SF220 in areas where there are more contaminants in the water.

How do I install the SF100?

The SF100 comes with everything you need. When you unbox your SF100:

  • The shower filter will be screwed together when you receive it. Tighten it by hand to check it is fully sealed. You may want to wear rubber gloves when installing the filter, as the filter can be slippery even when dry.

  • Rinse the filter under warm water for 60 seconds, then flip it and rinse again to flush out any carbon dust. During transit, small particles of carbon in the filter may comes loose. We therefore suggest that you run the filter through water.

  • Remove your current shower head or bracket, use a wrench if needed. To prevent damage to the shower and surrounding area, we suggest that you use a cloth while you install the filter.

  • Clean the inside threads of your shower arm and wrap it with 1-2 layers of plumber's tape if needed. Do not use epoxy or putty.

  • Place one screened washer in the shower arm connection.

  • Screw the SF100 onto the shower arm.

  • Place one washer in the shower head connection.

  • Reattach the shower head or shower mount to the bottom of your Aquabliss SF100 filter and hand tighten, clockwise.

  • Slowly turn on the faucet to let the water run through the shower filter at a low pressure. Gradually increase the water pressure through the filter whilst checking for any leaks.

Why is there reduced water flow with my SF100?

Experiencing reduced water flow after several weeks of using the shower filter indicates sediment buildup inside the filter cartridge. Regularly backwashing the cartridge can help clear out sediment and restore water pressure. To backwash, remove the cartridge, flip it upside down, and reinstall it into the shower filter housing. Then, run water through the cartridge for several minutes. Afterward, carefully reseal the filter by securely tightening it, and gradually turn the water back on to check for leaks.

Experiencing reduced water flow after using the shower filter for several weeks is a sign that sediment has built up inside the filter cartridge. SF500 Shower Filter

How does the SF500 compare to the SF220?

The SF500 improves on the SF220 with about 25–30% more filter media. It also has removable sediment pads, a leak-proof design, and includes an adapter in a similar size.

When do I change the sediment pads on my SF400 & SF500?

This cartridge has removable sediment pads. The pads trap dirt and other sediments, preventing it from reaching your skin & hair. The pads can be rinsed and reused several times or replaced.

How do I know when you change or rinse the sediment pads on my SF400 & SF500?

Reduced water flow is a sign that sediment has built up in the sediment pads and they need cleaning. To access the pads, unscrew the end caps on each end of the cartridge counterclockwise. Remove the sediment pads. Rinse under high-pressure water and rub together to release the trapped sediment. Please note that the sediment stains on the pads may remain even after cleaning.

Water quality

Will the filter reduce my shower's water pressure?

No. AquaBliss filters are made to keep water pressure strong while still filtering the water. If there is a reduced pressure, you may need to rinse the filter or change the sediment pads (if you have the SF400 or SF500 models).

How often should I replace my AquaBliss shower filter cartridge?

To keep your filter working well, replace the cartridge every 3 to 6 months.

Can these filters remove chloramine?

No, chloramine isn't removed by AquaBliss filters but our filters help to reduce this along with harmful chemicals. Our aim is to make your water purer.

Can I test the water quality with a TDS meter?

TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) meters measure dissolved solids but not chlorine or heavy metals. TDS meters will also count minerals in their readings (which you want to have in your water). We suggest using a chlorine tester or similar specialized tool, which will help to identify the reduction of what you don’t want in your water.

Showers, Shower Heads & Cartridges

Can the shower set be wall-mounted?

Yes. You can dock the handheld shower into most wall mounts to use it like a regular fixed head. The HS300 comes with a shower mount and not a wall mount.

Do I need tools to install the shower head?

No special tools are needed - just a wrench to take off your shower head.

Does the water-saving "pause" mode shut the water off completely?

No, it reduces water flow by 80–90% but doesn't turn it off fully. This keeps it compliant with plumbing codes.

Will these heads fit my shower arm?

Yes. As long as your shower arm has a standard thread, AquaBliss heads will fit.

Will it fit my shower head?

Yes. AquaBliss filters use standard fittings, so they work with almost all shower heads.

How do I install replacement shower filter cartridges?

Replacement shower filter cartridges will work fine installed in either direction.
